Maricann Group Inc (OTCMKTS:MRRCF) has announced a clarification to correct some issues raised in a recent media publications. The company was reacting to an interview of its Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Corporation Mr. Ben Ward and which was conducted by Marc Davis. The interview was published by Stockhouse Publishing.
The company noted that this interview had not been authorized by the board of directors or the special committee. The clarification further said that the comments made by the CEO during the interview represent personal opinion and views of Mr. Ward. The statement further said none of the comments made in the interview should be used by investors.
In another announcement, Maricann Group said it has been granted an additional occupancy permit by the Norfolk County to undertake the Phase One of its grow facility which is located in Langton, Ontario. The company says it is now ready to commence cultivation in a bid to spread its wings in the Canadian market. The cultivation is however subject to approval by Health Canada.
The first phase of the cultivation is expected to raise the company’s annual growing capacity to around 25,000 kg of dry cannabis flower. The first phase will involve cultivation on the first 217,000 square feet of the total 942,000 square foot cultivation facility.
Mr Ward said the company is making significant steps in executing its strategy. He added that the occupancy of the new Langton cultivation facility which has been granted top the company by Norfolk County demonstrates the company’s commitment of implementing all aspects of its business. He said the company is very grateful to Jeff Ayotte, the company’s VP Infrastructure plus the team working under him for successful executing the first phase of the expansion program. He said the company is now ready to start production and move into its next lifecycle.

It also has cultivation and production facilities in Langton, Ontario, Canada. In these facilities, the company operates a business that entails cultivation of medical cannabis, extraction, formulation as well as distribution.
